How we roast
Bought from importers we know
Every coffee names the farm or the co-op it came from.
Roasted on Monday
The roast date goes on the bag, and it leaves us within the week.
Ground for how you brew
Espresso, filter or French press — or whole beans, if you grind at home.
Packed in compostable bags
The valve and the zip come off; the rest goes in your green bin.
An email when it's ready
Pickup orders get a note the moment the bag is on the shelf.

Tuesday mornings, rain or shine.
One roaster, a few coffees at a time
Harbour Roast is a 5 kg roaster in a North End garage and the two of us who run it. We roast every Monday and hand it over that week, so your coffee is never more than a few days old.
We keep the list short: a few coffees at a time, each bought from importers who can tell us which farm it came from. When a lot runs out, we move on to the next one.
Write to us if you're not sure what to pick. We'll ask how you brew.

Whole bean or ground?
Whole bean keeps longer. If you need ground, tell us your brewer and we'll grind to match.
How fresh is it?
Roasted Monday, picked up that week. Best from 4 days to 4 weeks after roasting.
Do you sell decaf?
Yes, a Swiss Water decaf from Colombia, roasted every other week.

Refund policy
Not for you? Bring the bag back within two weeks and swap it for another coffee.
Cancellation policy
Cancel or change until Sunday 8pm — after that it is already in the roaster.
Pickup policy
Bags wait on the shelf for a week, labelled with your name.
Delivery policy
If nobody is in, we leave it in your mailbox or behind the door.
